Tv and Film

Just watched this film, sooo funny all the way through, some classic quotes, well worth a watch, only thing is the ending isn't so god. The guy gets laid (well its bound to happen isnt it) and it goes all cheesy and they get married and all dance about singing its the age of the aquarius or something :S strange and too happy and soppy lol.

(Also just made a big damn tasty cheese and pickle sandwich :D )

Hey, sorry I didn't get this up sooner, been a bit busy with other things. Anywho, I thought this show was pretty awesome. Apparently I was wrong in thinking War Of The Worlds started out as an lp when it was first made. It was, however, a film ages ago. Then it was made into the lp. Then we had the most recent film and finally hte musical show which i saw a few days ago.

The setup was a large (ish – prolly about 20-30piece) orchestra on one side of the stage with a band on the other side, which comprised of a couple of guitarists, a bassist (possibly 2) and a drummer or two (I couldn't really see them that well). The sound was great, big loud orchestra :D .

The musicians were sitton on the stage in front of a huge film screen which didn't appear to be projection to me so it was probably rear projection or something. But they used this to show film clips of the aliens walking around on mars and landing on Earth etc, but they didn't use it so much that the whole thing just became a film which was good. Also for certain scenes they had actors/actresses on stage acting out sections and singing etc.

The only downpoint I would say is that for a big musical show, it didn't feel all that much more special than just listening to it on cd, apart from the fact the music sounded better.

Also, on a quick note. I made this picture last night. I guess it is slightly relevant, almost looks like the Earth after the martians move in and all the red weed covers the Earth.

Please ask if you wish to use this photo. And thanks to ROSIE for the stock photo :) .

Technorati:

I've now watched the first two episodes of series one of this program. The episodes are aroun 11minutes long and its a great show. It's basically a stop animation sketch show. There have been sketches taking the piss out of the cylons in battlestar galactica, the transformers etc etc. I thoroughly recommend it if you're sense of humour is quite dry.

Technorati:

After having watched the last episode (episode 20) of season two of this fantastic programme, which was just over an hour long, I have to say I'm lefting kicking myself because I can't see season 3 yet. I can't believe they left such a mahusive cliff hanger on the end of season 2. It was amazing but I won't spoil it for you in case you intend to watch it in the future. All I will say is that the human race is left somehwat screwed and the fleet is nowhere to be seen. (heh heh) Anywho, yeah, if you haven't watched it I urge you to go watch it now, now now now, its amazing. So much happens, the effects are wicked and the storyline is held even through all the different things that go on. The show seems to jump from strength to strength, most of the time. Although sometimes there are some dips, where the odd episode might be a bit lame, but it always picks up again in the following episode.

Ok, dont read this if you haven’t yet watched episode 17 of the second series of battlestar galactica and you intend to in the future.

I watched it earlier today and it was such ana amazing episode! I couldn;t believe it. Basically two raptors with around 2 crew members in each went mising in space, they had some messages from them before they went missing but they were broken and mixed up. Basically the pegasus goes after them against admiral adomma’s orders and it turns out to be a cylon trap. adomma’s son takes over and sorts it all out, major battle, and adomma’s son becomes a captain at the end. All in all a damn good episode :D so go watch it if you haven’t and you read all this lol.

Basically its livin up to my expectations so far.

Quick end note: have just watched two episodes of Everybody Hates Chris which is on Sundays Channel 5 at 8pm and its about Chris Rock’s childhood. Its damn funny. Watch it.

Been watching this quite a bit recently and I have to say it’s much better than I was expecting. It’s the American remake of the classic series. The quality of the episodes seems to go up and down a little. The last episode I watched was the one where the civilians hold people hostage in a bar and to be honest it seemed more like an american bank hold up film than a battlestar galactica episode but it was alright. Some of the episodes are amazing though, one that particularly stands out is the one where Starbuck is back on Caprica trying to get the Arrow. The first series was very good and for now, the second series has lived up to that, just hope it continues to be as good.

Well, today I finished watching series 2 of the young ones, had the afternoon off 6form so I figured I might aswell. Damn funny as usual. Neil trying to nail china plates to the table lol, and so on. However, the ending surprised me somehwat. It completely crap!!!! I was shocked and it pissed me off a bit really because series one was so good and so was 2 but they ended it terribly.

Thats all for now…

I have to say, after watching series one and starting to watch series two recently, this is one of the funniest shows I have ever seen. If you haven’t seen it, you should, in fact dont bother reading the rest of this go and watch it now. Its basically about 4 students living together in a flat, all guys, a hippie (Neil), a metalhead (Vivian – great name lol), “the cool person” (Mike) and a punk (Rick). I have to say nothing has made me laugh so much for aaaaages. Definitely well worth a watch. Neil is probably the best though.

Well hello there!

Just been watching a few episodes of My Name Is Earl. So I’ve watched episodes 1-6 and its looking pretty good, there are some damn funny sections in it but some of it seems a little dragged out. Hey I guess you get that in everything really, (except The Young Ones :D ). Anyway, I guess we’ll just have to see what happens it later episodes, I will comment more on that after I’ve seen a few more.

Did watch The Fottball Factory last night, it was actually a really good film. Initially I was expecting it just to be a generic football hooligan film with loads of violence, which could be entertaining for a while I guess but it does get boring. However I was surprised to find a film which actually had a fair bit of thought behind it and left the viewer thinking about sections of the film while the story unfolds. If you haven’t seen it, I strongly suggest you do, but be warned, altho there is thought behind it, it does get pretty violent at times, its an 18 for a clear reason.
